Terms of Service

Last updated 17 Oct 2026

1. Acceptance and scope

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form an agreement between [Company legal name] (“Oryjin”, “we”, “us”) and the organisation on whose behalf you access the service (the “Customer”, “you”). By accessing or using the Oryjin application at app.oryjin.com (the “Service”), you confirm that you are authorised to bind that organisation and that it accepts these Terms.

The Service is provided to businesses only. It is not intended for consumers, and consumer-protection rules do not apply to its use.

2. The Service

Oryjin helps companies reconcile their payment activity across payment service providers (PSPs): you upload business documents such as contracts, invoices and PSP reports, and the Service analyses them to surface discrepancies, fee anomalies and reconciliation findings.

The Service produces informational analyses. It does not provide accounting, tax, legal or investment advice, and its findings do not replace your own books, your accountant or your statutory obligations. You remain responsible for verifying any finding before acting on it.

3. Accounts and access

Access to the Service requires an account, created by signing in with a magic link sent by email or with Google single sign-on. Accounts belong to an organisation; members join by invitation from the organisation or, where enabled, automatically through their verified company email domain.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account, for keeping control of the email address and identity provider it relies on, and for the activity of the users your organisation invites. Tell us promptly at support@oryjin.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Customer data

You retain all rights to the documents and data you upload to the Service (“Customer Data”). You grant us the licence needed to host, process, analyse and display Customer Data for the sole purpose of providing the Service to you.

You are responsible for having the right to upload the Customer Data you submit, including any personal data it may contain. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service unlawfully, or upload content you have no right to process;
  • probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Service, or circumvent its authentication and access controls;
  • interfere with the Service's operation, including by imposing an unreasonable load on its infrastructure;
  • access the Service to build a competing product, or resell it without our written agreement;
  • share account access with people outside your organisation.

6. Intellectual property

The Service — its software, design, branding and documentation — is and remains the property of Oryjin or its licensors. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your internal business purposes during the agreement. No other rights are transferred.

7. Third-party services

We rely on third-party providers to operate the Service (hosting, email delivery, analytics, error monitoring). They are listed, with their roles, in our Privacy Policy.

8. Availability and support

We work to keep the Service available and performant, but we do not commit to a service-level agreement. The Service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates or reasons outside our control. Support is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis at support@oryjin.com.

9. Warranty disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose. In particular, reconciliation findings depend on the quality and completeness of the documents you upload; we do not warrant that the Service will identify every discrepancy, or that every finding it raises is one.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable to the other for indirect damages — including loss of profits, revenue or data — arising from the Service. Oryjin's total aggregate liability under these Terms is capped at [the amounts paid by the Customer for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim].

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, such as liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

11. Term, suspension and termination

These Terms apply for as long as your organisation uses the Service. Either party may terminate at any time; we may also suspend or terminate access in case of a serious or repeated breach of these Terms, after notice where practicable.

Upon termination, you may request an export of your Customer Data within [30 days], after which we delete it in accordance with the retention periods described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Changes

We may evolve the Service over time. We may also update these Terms; if a change is material, we will notify your organisation (by email or in the Service) before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of [the competent court, e.g. the Tribunal des activités économiques of the city of registration], notwithstanding multiple defendants or third-party claims.

14. Contact

Questions about these Terms: contact@oryjin.com. The identity and registration details of the company operating the Service are on the Legal Notice page.
